just curious....what does your hot rod weigh?
Last season was about 3520lbs with me in it. This season should be a decent amount lighter. I'll have it on the scales before it come sback out of fab so i know for sure what kind of overall weight i saved this off season.

Nothing new recently other than i got word from circle D that i have to send the new converter back in because they found a descrepency with a batch of metal that might have been used in making it. Sp i grt to lool forward to pulling it back out again.

It’s nice that they found out and let you know before it destroyed your trans though.

More progress pics.

Turbos look to be situated and the new intercooler is fabbed and lo ram intake is in place.

Unfortunately ill have to figure out a new option for a wiper motor or rainx the mess out of my windshield before drag n drive events when inget back east next year.

Got the converter sent back to Circle D, injectors sent off for cleaning and flowing, also have the new 16an line, fittings and intercooler pump en route.

Converter is on its way back already. More good news is a very good trans builder in our area had a cancelation and I was able to drop the transmission off this morning to have it gone through while the converter is out.

Seeing as it hasn't been opened up since I put it in there, and making more power and leaning on it more this season, it felt like the perfect time to have a peace if mind Inapection done on it before it all goes back together.

Found a little wear on the high gear plates, so just as a precaution I'm gonn replace em but still keep these as a set of Spares for drag and drives if need be in the future.

Also got the new Davies a2w Intercooler pu.p in with 16an fittings to make life easier whe. The 16an line and last few hose ends show up. Having a fellow racer develop me some organizers for under the car that will help keep the lines clean and routed properly after I make them.

Last update for the weekend is I locked in the next track rental for April 6th to make sure everything is happy. With any luck, all goes well and we can make LS Fest West at the end of April in Vegas.

Well the mount finally came in and got the new water pump mounted for the intercooler. Instead of just rigging something up I dropped the fuel pump down and used a nutsert tool and got it mounted the right way out back.

New clutches should be delivered by Friday and hopefully pickup the transmission Saturday or Sunday.

Converter will be here Thursday and all the rest of my 16an line and fittings will be here Monday to get busy next week.

Injectors should be back by Saturday as well.

Inching closer.

Well I got some stuff done. Transmission and new converter are back and installed. I was also able to finish the trunk intercooler lines to the new bulkhead fitting instead of just drilling holes through the floor. I also got trmhe line made for thr bulkhead to water pump out back.

Finally after 3 delays I received the rest of the 16an line to go from the pump to intercooler snd back to the ice box.

Injectors are back and going in as well. Hoping to fire back up this weekend.
