I'm removing the heater and ac unit from under the the dash, I want to save some weight and tidy the engine bay,
So I've removed 6 or so bolts in the bay, and under dash I've removed as many cables and hoses as I can see, but it still feels attached somewhere.

I suspect it's fender side, but I can't see any bolts ect.

Any help please.

Open the passenger ven door and look inside.
There is a nut on a rod that has a hook up inside.
Loosen nut and unhook it.

Best to hold the rod (thru the door) with pliers while wrenching from the bottom...best to not damage the box for someone who might want it.

Thanks guys, I will have a better look tomorrow.

Yep.. You'll need to losen and disengage the holding rod for the fresh air vent. remove the nut that's underneath the vent housing.

The top of the rod is like the hook of a "J" just lift it up to pull it out once the nut is backed off.

all done and out now, both heater and AC,

thanks for the info, i would never have looked for that J hook bolt!!!
