I'm going to start prepping the body for paint, well as I figure, more like "rust hunting" and before I begin I want to make sure I know what I am getting into.

Does the trim just "pop" off the rear quarter panels or are there nuts underneath that need to be removed? I don't want to bend or even worse, crack it.

Thanks,
John

Ok another question to this, what about the trim around the windows? I know it is on here somewhere, but I have looked and to many threads! Does it just pop off (very carefully I'm sure!)?

Which windows John? The windshield and rear window or side glass?
The windshield and rear glass have lockstrip(the chromed plastic).Pull
it out, dont wory about saving it youll probably need new, then your glass needs to come out to get the rubber gasket out.

I mean the trim that runs along the top the side windows. The rain rail or whatever it is called?

John

Use a putty knife, make sure the corners are not real sharp, put it on the bottom side of that moulding and lightly tap it.This takes alot of patience
to get them off w/o damage, take your time.
