That's sad news Rusty. Thanks for the heads up. RIP

I didn't know him, but my condolences never the less. When you can't breathe, grumpy is an easy place to be.

RIP Artie. He had some very entertaining posts. Didn't know him but I read quite a few of his words. Another loss to the Mopar community.

I had the good fortune of meeting Artie and his young son when I purchased a Poly 318 from him. A most hospitable host with a good chuckle and a most obvious passion for his cars. A garage set up to work and enjoy the car passion, he was so so so interested In Teaching his son the ropes.

We talked for hours yuk-yuking it up and laughing at our follies of days gone past and pitching each other's dreams for future events in stomping out the competition in our cars. He was pointing out to me his 440 that his wife has up for sale now.
I do believe it was to be slated for a white Duster.
Or it might have been for the red car. A B body.

It was 100% worth the trip to the west side of Maryland from the Island.

Artie, rest in peace brother. Hope to see ya at the racetrack. Perhaps, I can do ya proud.

To Artie's family;

May the good time memories forever remain and the pain of this be ever so short.

Thanks Rob for this thread.....I just posted on his Wife's thread.

My last conversation with him was about him working on Nelson Grimes Vega, and then he was banned and i lost contact. I always thought he'd be back, but sadly we've lost him. Most that aren't from the Wash DC area wouldn't know the Nelson Grimes name, but he was big time in the Mid-Atlantic area and was very much looked up to back in the day in our area. The fact that Artie did body work on his car years back was a big deal.....at least to me :).

Condolences Ann, to you and the entire family.

best wishes to his family

i remember he had some good posts.

dont remember him being grumpy but yeah if you are sick and on chemo or meds you do get that way.
