It won't necessarily run cooler. The 8-71 case is a little longer so it displaces more air than a 6-71. Just means it would be more efficient on a 440. You've got to overdrive a 6-71 on a 440 to make boost. If anything you'd create more heat but I don't think the difference would be great. You'll still make more power than you can use practically on the street.
