SBC SWAP IN A 64 BARRACUDA?

-
SBC is a junk engine and decreases the value of anything you put it in, if you could sell it at all. I won't get started on why. I know a guy that pulled all his SBC out of everything, mostly Chevies, he had and replaced them all with early Hemis, some blown. No special parts except the blower stuff. None are trailer queens, he drives them all over the country.
I would not call a SBC a junk engine. I the '60's a Mopar would generally out live the SBC and SBF engines. By the time we got to the '80's things had evened out. There is a lot of expensive street rods out there with SBC under the hood, or no hood. Now an early Hemi is cool, and the reason many got swapped in was the cool factor combined with power and reliability.

Why on earth would you want to ruin the Barracuda that's like putting a ford engine in a Buick

Thanks for all the advice. I ended up getting a 360 and putting it in the 64 Cuda. Should make a good grocery getter for the wife.
