Look what I stumbled on in my 67 Dart FSM

Empty is 73 +/- 12 ohms (61 to 85)
Full is 9.6 +/- 1 ohm (8.6 to 10.6)

Confirms the image that has been passed around for years

The values fall nicely in my chart and graph

About the wide resistance for empty... 80 ohms will generate no needle movement. Their own tester didn't use that as a test (no indication of working). 73 ohms should bring the needle up to the 1st hash mark. 60 ohms wouldn't take the needle very far beyond the hash mark. So anywhere in the wide range is what? Go get gas.

Yep.

Right now when I'm at 1/4 tank I go fill up cause at E I might be out of gas, but when I fill up I can only get 16 or so gallons in so my pickup is too high off the tank floor.

By the way in the last couple-three years I've had senders out of Dakotas/ RAM that I junked and "I ain't impressed" with them, either. Mostly plastic, and same cheapish looking rheostat type thing. they work vertically instead of an arm, so "might be" a bit more accurate, although the pickup tanks are very long and slender, so would seem lots of room for "slop" and error.......................
