Seen some tempting prices on late model Jags with various problems. Thoughts on dropping something into them? I'm thinking a cheap yet somewhat elegant driver, maybe even a sleeper LOL

There's an old guy out here in our county that's been doing small block Chevy conversions for many years on Jags. He does a good job too. Looks factory.

yup... people have been dropping small block chevys into them for years

so what, you end up with a chebby engine in a ford product?
yeah, theres a real "elegant" ride

My buddy has a two owner XJ6 that has been pampered it's whole life. It's pretty "elegant" if you're into that manufacturer. Would I love to stick a V8 in it? You bet.

Theres a swap book for this. Not sure who the author was. It gave part numbers and everything.

How about a viper V10 jag, now thats elegant.

I'm not entirely sure what year you'd be talking about, but once you get deep into the 2000's, there's really a lot of electronics that you'd have to deal with.

A great candidate for a V8 swap is any 90's BMW, especially the E36 3-series. I'd guess the 5-series would be easier even.

Well, I was thinkin more like Mopar so.............

And I don't HAVE to tell everybody the truth. I could just LIE and CLAIM it was a chebby!!!! LMAO

My brother had a new jag,10-15 years ago. Had a tranny problem and was told to take it to a chebby dealer as that's what it had in it. That tranny would help a lot in a swap. Too bad they didn't come with torqueflites.
