Sorry for the late introduction people,
Was a real pain to get the pics onto this comp, but enough
about the delay, il get onto the cars an introduction!

My names christos an i reside in australia.
I fell in love with the A body charger you see here today
when i was 16.
A young guy used to drive around the area, talked to him
once about hes car at a party *was a snob* an that was about it.
Car was eventually sold an went off to the country somewhere...
I didnt have the money at the time to purchase it due to still being
young somewhat.
3 years later its in the trading post an i recognize the plates, this time
it was for sale
For 2 thousand dollars more an a 2hour drive away.
I get there an aparantly the car when he bought
it,was a headache, he rebuild the 318
an fixed the wiring now hes wife wanted him to get rid of it.
I had to have it,the car i loved from my teens was finally
going to be my car!
Left him a deposit an waited til he got the roadworthy an that was it!

Ive owned the car for 6 years now an its been nothing but good to me,
was a daily for 3 years, then got over how crazy i went when i found
a new shopping trolley dint on it or something. So in my spare time i drive it.
The only problem i ever had with it was breaking an axle.
My fault, stock rear end an axles, manual box,m@H racemasters
an 4000 rpm clutch dumps werent helping the cause!
Its a stock bottom end an headed 318 with lowwww comp.
Cam in it is too big for it, 484 lift, sounds meaner that what it is! cheap crap
headers, even worse single 2 inch exhaust, offenhauser manifold,
650 holley double pumper, holley red pump, 4speed with 3.23 rear.
My best time in it is a 14.5 @ 93 mph. Not bad for what it is i thought.

Anyhow,the 2nd car,
a 1973 dodge dart swinger used to be owned by a fellow a body member here.
Havent seen him post in a while but im hoping he does when he sees it :)

Idiot me,as always, looking at stuff i cant afford, wanted this car after
i saw it on the internet! Had to have it, another member on here that
hasnt posted here i think in a while, helped me out alot with it an getting
it to mine.Thanks Marcus!

The darts setup is;
1973 360 bored .060 over, sonic checked and align honed, decked, and squared.
Speed Pro H405CP60 hyperutectic flat tops w/4 valve reliefs- @9.2:1 CR with current heads
73 Smog heads lightly ported and cleaned up- decked .020
Hughes Racing Engines hydraulic cam- 222/232@.050- .477/.480 lift 112 lsa
Hughes #1102 Springs
Edelbrock Rpm Airgap & Performer 750 carb
Mopar performance Electronic ignition conversion w/ chrome box
26" dual core radiator with dual electric fans
A999 transmission with TCI torque converter and transgo shift kit B&M pro ratchet shifter
Dual exhaust with flowmaster 50 series and dumps
Sure grip SBP rear end with @ 3.23:1 ratio
Power disc front brakes
Energy poly bushing kit installed.

For what it has,it doesnt feel as fast as it should, but im working
on that!
It wasnt running great at all when it got here,
But took it to my mech an he sorted it pretty well,

He rekons for it to haul it needs a fuel pump, headers an gears,A holley 750
an it should wake it up nicely.
Wel see,no idea what im going to do yet.

Big rant i know, but i was due for the explanation!
Cheers, christos
love the site

Yeah, Mad Max and Mad Max 2 helped solidify relations between Aust and the USA. In the second movie, the star attraction obviously was the supercharged XB Ford Hardtop (Australians wrongly call them Coupes) but if you look closely in many of the car scenes, there is a Charger there as well, amongst all the other armoured and heavily modified cars. Almost hard to spot, but its there.

Welcome to FABO.....It seems there are lots of Aussie Mopar fans. I love your Charger.
Here's a pic of one I took here in Arizona a few months ago.

NO WAY!

That is AWESOME!
That would sure spin some people out hehe!
At least now i know someone knows the confusion involved
sitting in the opposite seat an driving the car hehe!

You have no idea how many people turn heads when im driving
the dart once they realise im on the left hand side.
I drove it today,an there were people asking for donations on the road,
all on the right hand side of the cars....
Guess who got to avoid getting harassed for church change lol

An thank you for the compliments :)
