Sound Deadener on roof question

Replacing the headliner and I was thinking about using some on the underside of the roof.
I was thinking about the heat more than sound proofing.
What I am worried about is it coming down in Texas and Arizona heat.
Any thoughts or experiences?
I am using an Amazon product, VEVOR.

I'd use a spray-on solution, like Lizard Skin, or Rhino Liner that cures and has no tar in it. You could probably just roll it on

Ya Lizard skin has a heat insulating product along with sound. You can use them in conjunction. Nice product with water clean-up.

I just put some foil backed jute/denim style padding in mine a while back. I had the plain white poly batting in there before that came with my headliner. It was a bit of a pain to try to hold in place while I was putting the headliner back in, but I do think it helped some. Certainly makes the headliner look a little more "plump".

ive done this many times...the key is...useing the high heat contact cement.not cheap..weather wool..or a polyfoil ..when done correct it will last as long as the headliner..i use it on the floor as well with all matting..oh this is after cleaning and epoxy...

Used Dynamat on mine. Been up there for 4 years including summer trips on 66 across SoCal, Arizona, New Mexico, Oklahoma & Texas.

I've had Kilmat on the inside if Vixen's roof for several years now in the Georgia heat and it ain't goin nowhere. The key is, put it on on a HOT day. Lay it all out on the car IN THE SUN and let it get good and HOT. When you stick it, roll it on with the roller tool and it will stick like WHO FLUNG DUNG. It AIN'T comin off. lol

Sprayfoam should do the trick.

I went ahead and put the mat in the roof.
Hard to believe how much it cut down on the tin can sound.
