Considering a set of BB bare heads to build a torque monster 440+ (maybe 4.15 crank) but I am not sure if the 2.20 valves will be counter productive on a torque build ? This would be for a motorhome .
I only have my stock X-Heads with comp springs 901-16, which were the recommended springs with the XE268 camshaft, then I have stock rockers and stock rods but the comp cams lifters for the camshaft. Still dont know about the rockers, they only have the aluminum roller 1.5 or 1.6 rockers in stock (the red and blue ones) and I don't know much on those.
Just check those out and make sure that’s what you want. I don’t think they offer a standard Edelbrock type big block head. I think those are Victor copies.
I had these in my cart from earlier and I just ordered and paid for them. They have the valves, springs and retainers. Unless these are the wrong heads... lol Total 1092 shipped, they still show in stock on my computer and my phone. Or at least able to be ordered since they are "build to order." Says on my receipt they should ship on 11/26
Thats right. I forgot about that ... thus the offset rockers ..... I just want a set of alloy closed chamber heads for heat disapation and quench . Sumpin cheap ! Lol
Well that makes this an easy desicion then . I really have no business spending the coin right now anyways . Whew .....
Watch the sell ads. I know a guy selling a nicely ported one if that guy can repair a small hole he created from getting greedy.
What height are the springs installed at? I wouldn't use 1.6 with those springs. Black Friday Last yr they were $219 each. If that's the same today...Price the valves, locks,springs,retainers...spring cups. You paid $1100 for $650.00 +/- $50.00 cnc add 400... and change plus tax/shipping.... if you had put it all together...."har har round eye"..."ohh got you now har har " signed !Sleezemaster
The CNC heads are 471 each bare, adding intake and exhaust valves brings it to 1014, and I would still have to get springs and retainers... Unless I am missing the sarcasm? Regarding where the springs are installed at I have no clue lol. I know Tony and I figured that stuff out when he helped me do them but I can barely remember what I ate for dinner yesterday lol.
Anyone dyno or have any track time with the CN'sleezed versions? They port it all the way to the 45 seat is what I've noticed.
Man I really hate you guys more now, all this talk about I'm buying this and I'm buying that yes the 190s assembled is the best deal going. I just couldn't pull the trigger when my 170s with a competition valve job run so strong on my 345. but I did have to buy some Harlan sharp knockoffs LOL
How long is the sale, till sunday...? If you buy under 150.00 will the shipping offset the great deal...? So buying a few/3 sets of valves @35 a set of 8=105.99...+shipping...
Over 150 I'd no shipping. I stated that. For people buying little things...I wanna know what they pay in the shipping when under 150.00
You only get that after the screwing they give you on magnums...comes with a travel size prep h pad. Haha Could you imagine being the speedmaster sponsored racer....always losing and being made fun of... zip ties on the Driveline at every race and half drank beers tossed at your pinto ... damn.
I have a set of these but just the regular bare heads, not the CNC ones. I can get you a weight but not till Sunday, I'm out of town till then. The boxing was marginal but they did arrive unscathed. I got both heads in one box but the inner boxes were a bit ragged.
Have any of you guys bought the big block aluminum water pump housing from Speedmaster? I'm curious if it has small water passages like a lot oft he other bb aluminum pump housings out there.
We think alike. Been there...they won't open the doors. Only by mail are they in business. Customer support...is Nevada...one time i spoke with the guy in the warehouse who was cool...they must have told him not to answer anymore. Haha
