Hey all, Im getting ready to drop a new 904 in my valiant and I also just dropped in an 8 3/4 sure grip with my ideal gears. That being 3:23s I am wondering is there any way to set the speedometer cable housing to match the gear ratio? I see that it is able to spin around and be set but is that what its for? and if so how do you read it correctly? I have looked in all my different manuals and come up with nothing referencing any adjustment for different ratios. thx guys! lata!

Thats the same chart I used, I have 3.23's, 26.5 inch tall tires, 2538933(Yellow) gear and mine is still fast by about 4 or 5 mph.

I went a completely different route. I ordered a vdo electronic speedo and a electronic sensor that mounts same way as the drive gear, Now I just have a wire running up to the speedo. Best part is it's completey programmable regardless of tire size and gear changes. Just set it to program drive one mile marker and hit set. It's pretty accurate too, I've timed it to my wifes honda and it's dead on at 60mph. For some reason I always had trouble getting the right speedo cable for my dart. Just another idea for you.

FWIW, the housing rotates around so that you can adjust the mesh of differnt sized gears.
