SS Slant Six Dart

well i took the dart out to a nice one mile stretch near the house...

rolling start @ about 30mph rev to 6200 in first, nice shift and back up to 6200 into third, doing 120 after the 2-3 shift... less than a half mile i did it in to...

maybe she will be in the 14's even with a one legger...
 
well went out to speedworld for the inliners/flathead race! great fun! here are some vids and slip results!

first run with new motor and 2 yrs cold in the seat for me
15.29 @ 93.5mph

best of the night was a against an I! i won heads up with a 14.7 @ 94mph

big updates!

i ordered the axles for the 8.75, got the long ones for better engagement and greens/3" studs for doctordiff...

and

all the stuff to assemble my brakes 11x2's...

now i just need the driveshaft!
 
ok well the housing is coming together! hoping to get it installed today...

axles should be here this week and brakes next...

I just want to know whats really going on with the lamp and Locktite caulking ??? lol

Did you get all the motor stuff sorted?

my gf came out in the garage in the middle of the night lol...

and i just got the head back today...

they installed new hand honed bronze guides in both the int/exh.

they seem to think i might have leaned out on the top end of the track causing the exhaust valves to heat up and transfere...

so waiting on a head gasket and back together it goes!

i thought about it but its alot of work... not in the time line for MATS but i think i will down the road...

eventually i want to finish this SS tribute minus the hemi and d60... lol

You're less than a mile from me! I've seen your car at your house & was always curious. A /6? COOL! I always thought about doing one or perhaps an I-4 (found a killer Ford combo--that's another story)

i got my axles from doctor diff as well and i shop around and no one can beat his prices for what he offers
