Hi everyone. I just signed up recently as I used to lurk for the best mopar info on the net by far. Anyway to my question. I have a P/S box with a casting # G2267600. R-12 is under it. The pitman arm Has fast ratio stamped on it before the part #. I believe I took this out of a T/A Challenger I once had but been so long I can't remember. Any help narrowing it down would be greatly appreciated.

The fast ratio boxes used in 1970 and 1971 have TA cast into one side in large letters.

It does have the TA cast into it. Would that fast ratio boxes be 12 to 1? Or the 16? Just so I know exactly what I have. Anyway, I really appreciate the help.

If you have a record of the VIN from your former T/A, I can look that up to see if any history is known also.

As of today, 1,580 T/As have been recorded - so far.

"I guess" what you'd have to do is measure the angular movement of the pitman and compute how many degrees of a circle that is, and then count the shaft turns. Scale that up "as if" it is a full turn of the pitman shaft. EG if the pitman moves 90 that's a 1/4 turn, so if the shaft turns X turns to move that far, then since it would be 4x to simulate a full turn, mutiply X turns x4. Just pulling numbers out of the air........

At the time I was mainly a packrat. Used to buy and sell muscle cars back in the 70s to early 80s. My regular business took off around 83-84 and had to time for cars or anything else. Have a 66 factory Hemi Coronet that didn't even have the car cover off for 30+ yrs. Unfortunately I never saved any paperwork on vehicles I sold or parted out. Thank you for the offer though. Funny story on another T/A I bought in Penn. 340 six pack car and when I went to look at it, it had a skip. I noticed 2 plug wires crossed and bought it right then. Got it home and changed the 2 wires and found out why they were crossed. Had a rod knock.
