My 72 Dart has a rattle from the steering pump, with the belt on and tightened I can move the pulley back and forth about 3/8-1/2 inch. Is there a spacer missing? The old pump was replaced for doing the same thing, it didn't have any spacers on it. I have rented a puller/ installer and the pulley is on as far as it will go and it lines up with the crank pulley.
