Hi all, Lori's mom Marilyn passed away this morning. All wishes are appreciated.
I gotta say Peterborough Hospice was amazing with everything.
One of Marilyns wishes was to be baptized on her death bed, so Lori arranged for that to take place and was a beautiful simple moment by Pastor Deborah.
During the baptism she gave us/Marilyn a "Palm Cross". Small, beautiful and made out of special wood.
I am not a religious person, but today I mentioned to Lori's brother Brian to give it to Mom and put it in her hand as the end was near. He did and she took one last breath and passed. Another absolutely beautiful moment.
Thanks all.

I'm glad she's got you to lean on Steve...very sorry and important to have a support system!!!

Steve, I am very sorry for you, Lori and her family's loss. It was a blessing for her to pass peacefully. I have witnessed how kind Hospice folks are also. I'd always thought if I were faced with the situation that I wanted to pass at home. I changed my mind after seeing how Hospice took care of and was so kind to my 93 year old aunt. Thoughts and prayers to your family.

Steve, I'm not religious either. I have faith in Jesus Christ. That's Christianity, not religion. So I cannot offer you strength and positive thoughts or feel goods. None of that ever saved a soul. But Jesus Christ can and will. So yall all have our condolences and we'll add you to our prayer list, because we PRAY to Jesus Christ. Might I encourage you to read Romans 10:9-13.
