I just made some ribs...
MMMMM .. Tri Tip Goood. Beautiful afternoon for a BBQ.
Speaking of BBQ, I went to Menards to get the gallon jugs of Sweet Baby Ray's sauce, and they are discontinuing it... They were sold out, but they looked up what local stores still had some here, and the other one that I go to was supposed to have 4 jugs... I went there and nothing....
So I go to another store and they were only 20 blocks off of where they told me that it was... But when I went back to the right one, they had 8 jugs left...
Then the one in Hodgkins was supposed to have 4 jkugs, and I get there and nada... Nothing... Zip...
Apparently two of the stores have trouble keeping track of their inventory....

Well there's no drag racing until March Meet unless I go To Pomona for the Winternationals. I gotta take my horsepower fixes where I can get'em. Did I mention it was 73* this afternoon?
Speaking of that, I got some bad news....
If any of you remember Cliff (Old Tired Rebel), he passed away about a year ago...
His wife just passed away yesterday of a heart attack...
I talked with his middle son for a while today... He was trying to get a hold of me all night while I was at work yesterday and wasn't available to answer the phone when I got off work this morning...
Bill PM'ed Martin and I the news yesterday...

Yeah and look at the wind chill for Chicago...
The third shift loading lead asked me if I was going to dump the trash dumpster... I said, "I wasn't planning on it as it's so cold out"...
Besides I'm only supposed to dump it once a week according to my lead... I've already dumped it twice this week....
Somebody else can take care of it... I can't be the guy that they dump all the **** jobs on... If I let them, they will do it...

Gonna get sauced...I bought them out...
When I went to visit once, we had a bbq and Mary and I cooked a bunch of food and fed about 12 people and still had some left overs... It was fun cooking with Mary, without her I wouldn't have been able to make all that food... Burgers, hot dogs, ribs... I covered the inside food, and she took care of the grille outside...
Mary didn't allow anybody in her kitchen, but I earned the privilege to cook with her after that... I was allowed in her kitchen...

I go through alot of it when I make the pulled pork and racks of ribs...

Give me an old car from 67 - 72 for a daily driver and I'm a happy guy...
I loved driving my 68 fastback to work everyday for 7 years and getting it from 180 k to 500 k miles...

I get Ray's at Costco. Good stuff.
We've had some cold and good winds... Nothing like single digits and 20 - 30 MPH winds....
We need to get 3 to 4 layers of clothes on to keep warm...
I just bought a cool hat with the ear flaps today... Two people already commented on it while I was running around today...

And ya never missed the TPS telling you the right rear only had 32 rather than 34, didja?
I cancelled my Costco membership when they stopped carrying the baked wings... I loved those... They kept them in the back near the rotisserie chicken... Nice big wings at a good price... They should have marketed them better... They would be in high demand for a good Super Bowl party etc...
Plus they have had road construction at the one closest to me and traffic getting in and out of there sucks...
