Stop in for a cup of coffee

About a hundred years ago... At the antique shop we got the stuff in 55 gal drums. Kept in a shed at far end of building opposite from where we used it. I was transferring some to a bucket and splashed down front of my pants. Fastest I ever stripped to my skivvies and ran around to the other side behind the building. Boss lived next door, I think he loaned me a pair of pants. LOL
Another product that works great Banned! Contact cement, Banned in CA. Lacquer, Banned. Jabsco, wood preservative, Banned. Green lumber, Banned.....on and on and on.....

so I've not been able to figure out if that stuff I posted has that chemical in it or not

Damn hippy liberals
LOL. but nah, they played with all that dangerous stuff too.
More like the currently large crop of coddling, overprotective, busybodies. Many so called conservatives are as afraid their boogymen as the so called liberals.

No lye that I recall. Just that at that shop. Set up like a giant parts washer. About a 5x10ft 'tray' with a pump running straight stripper up through the brush. Scrubbed the finish off and took it outside and hosed it off in the driveway. Another shop I worked at, we had a tank about 6 x 12 and a couple feet deep. Filled with 50/50 acetone and laquer thinner. Put the whole piece in and roll it around till the finish loosened. Then brushed it off. Take out and wipe with fresh thinner. No I didn't sniff any fumes. :realcrazy: Seriously, Both places were ventilated good, but no way you didn't absorb some of that. Glad I didn't spent too many years in that line of work...
