Yeah, me too.
He never gave me that "you're not good enough for my daughter" attitude. Great guy and he was always good to me. He took me and my boys golfing now and then, and even went on family vacations with them. He had two daughters, so he treated me like the son that he didn't have. I think that he was glad to have grandsons to take to his golf club and do guy stuff with (he was the only male in his house).
My boys also are close to him, the youngest boy goes to Detroit every summer when school's out and stays there while he hangs out with his old friends. Him and his wife always took care of our boys when we needed. We never had to hire a babysitter while they grew up, they always were there to help out. The boys like to go back and visit them. Just call a day ahead so grandma can stock the kitchen for when they come and grandma always says that they are welcome to stay there. They enjoy seeing the boys and their friends when they visit...

So continuing from our drunken poetic ramblings last night. I just want to give an update on my daughter.... Yep she is still crabby this morning.. Im glad she is heading to her moms house for her week starting NOW!!!
