Rubber helps dampen vibration and sound...
Yep. One of the advantages of the some of the early engines with lots of cylinders was the smoothness. There's a story about one of the founders poking a competitor by offering a cheap 4 cylinder car that was as smooth as an 8 or 12 bcause of the rubber mounts. I think it was Walter Chrysler driving over to the Fords but I could have remembered it wrong - and not even sure its not apocryphal (sp?).

Certain engine designs with the proper firing order are naturally balanced... Like an in-line 8 cylinder for example...

What a sweet day, I got another vacation day because I am maxing out on vacation time.

Got up at 6 am and went for a swim......

Came back and had some bacon pancakes for breakfast

Then took a bath because I was in the pool.

Then I went to have coffee with the elderly neighbor. We talked car for a awhile.

Then I made some bacon pancakes for lunch and some for my neighbor.

Then i watched TV for awhile and then i started sorting parts and listed some power steering pumps for sale, which I think I already have a couple sold.

Now I am going to go to a salvage yard because I was waiting for my friend to get out of work. He doesn't like me going by myself because there are rattler snakes out there at the yard we are going.

So then I still have all evening to relax

Dang i love summer

Rubber mounts only
I agree.
OTH any engine with decent torque IMO should have some sort of restraint(s).
I dont care if its a 2bbl 318.
Not that I had anything to do with the broken ones on dad's Belvidere.

Interlocking tabs or spool mounts are better that way than the plain bisquits.
Torque strap in tension is even better IMO.

LOL You wouldn't know a thing about it! That powerbraking can tear mounts up.

I think it was the BMW that looked kindof slow after the downshift with the pedal going to the floor as when we passed him inthe outside lane of the curve.

Time takes it's toll on rubber after 50 years, time for a new one.

Thanks for sharing your good spirit with the "Summer" video . .
Marshmello is a musical god. My pool parties have to include a lot of his stuff. He is slower paced so its good for breaks.

It sounds best on a system with some bass and power. I mean like real bass, not some whimpy computer speakers

Everything is out of stock

How can you trust a company that doesn't have an accurate, nice, updated website.
Just call him. He was pretty decent to deal with. Answered the phone himself - at least it was that way when I bought the torques strap from him. He talked me out of his poly locs at the time. Said they transmit more vibration than the strap. A few years ago I saw a different company offering an interlocking mount of different design. Don't recall the name/brand offthe top of my head.

FWIW the AMC mounts are interlocking design using tabs. I've busted them too - and the wagon is practically bone stock. The tabs keep the engine from flopping but didn't keep the rubber from seperating.
