Stop in for a cup of coffee

Usually, you just stick in in there and turn it clockwise until you feel it against the worm gear. Then line up the nearest number and lock it down. Don't forget a new O ring on the housing.

I use those same instructions for sex...

nice - on the car - sounds like your pop is "wandering" a little more than before...??
Good morning. Had a surprise yesterday, for my marathon Charleston-N.GA-and-back-in-1-day, Enterprise put me in a BMW 328 for 40 bucks. I never drove a BMW before...I see why people like them. It's a turbo, when you stomp the gas from a stop it jumps. I was impressed but assumed it would be weak at higher speeds, getting out on the interstate, suddenly I noticed I was doing 110. I got 34 mpg. This one didn't have all the gadgets like adaptive cruise control, and you can disable the automatic engine start-stop to keep the car running all the time. The shift lever has a button for park another to get it into gear, annoying. Those heated leather seats and the easy driving spoiled me!

Dad was in good spirits. The nurses love him. It just sucks that he can't focus on anything so there's no way to keep him from being bored, that we've been able to figure out... Even the headphones I brought, he listened for a few seconds then lost interest.

Great tip. Thanks.

The trans is freshly re-built but I have no idea if the seals were changed.

I'm going to remove the engine soon, probably the trans too, so I could change them out then if necessary.

After talking to Ulf in Tavelsjö I was completely convinced to lower the engine and K-frame in stead of lifting the engine out.

I like to lift the engine out with a leveler...

It took twice as long for me to take the pictures than it did to pull the engine...

Busting the upper ball joint (or UCA bushings) was the ONLY downside.. Other than that it was the easiest drop i ever did...

I would rather pull it from the top than have to mess with the suspension if I don't need to, then you need an alignment when you are done... :banghead:

Hard to tell...probably. We can talk just fine about things he built 50 years ago, but he can't retain facts from the present like no, that lady on the other side of the room is NOT Marilyn (his wife who passed away in Nov.) Or the electric razor isn't broken, it needs to charge up, then it will work. Two minutes later he's asking me again to take him to Walmart to exchange it.

It's really as much my problem, as it bothers me to see him this way, and worrying about how much worse it's going to become. Also it scares the crap out of me that in 22 years, I might be the same way??

Alzheimer's? I have reached a point where I worry some about just passing away suddenly - but you can't, you gotta forge forward and live for today - so many stories of people having an embolism or heart attack before their 50th... scary stuff IF you allow yourself to dwell on it..
