Hi Ters!
Yes, I seem to remember you have different names on the cars. So that "Duster" is a Charger in SA?

So the answer to my question how much is a butt load.. a butt load is about 100 gallons. so a butt load of beer = a good thing
Well, Mike, I wouldn't want to underestimate the amount of hardship that goes into changing over. It would take at least two generations.
I was at the Buick dealer back in 78 when GM switched. The fastener head sizes weren't a issue. 1/2'' changed to 13mm, 3/4" changed to 19mm and the like. The thread sizes and the strange thread pitches were the hardest to grasp. It took many years for them to phase out and redesign parts to metric.
the worst part for me has been having to buy the tools - I was fine working on old iron - had a nice assortment of standard size stuff - then I bought an 87 Firebird... WTF!! - I need a what size this and that... :banghead:

That's where the toolman comes in! I got in the tool business 10 years later. I should have started 10 years sooner! lol
Well, then I'm exactly where you were then. =) I've bought a whole lot of tools already but I'm nowhere near the collection I have in metric.
The worst part is really that none of my stash of old crap is any good and it is nearly impossible to find the random fasteners you end up needing every time you go down to the garage ...
a couple of fine looking rides there sir

good morning Ters. I sure miss summer . just looking at the car show pic and a driveway without snow sure brings a tear to my eye
I bet!
Do you sell german tools or US made metric? The Wera and Wiha stuff is awesome. Well, the Swedish Bahco isn't too bad either.
Us made for the most part although we have some tools made by Stahlwille, Knipex, and a few others.

Good day all!
Way past coffee time here:banghead:. Had a mini car show at church this morning. Took the Monaco out as she is closest to show worthy. Back home, bled Chargers brakes, took her for a run. /6's have got power hey! First descent drive I could take with the old girl...have brakes now!
Need to double check timing and adjust Carter carb some more, but overall very pleased with results.
Ters.
Better git yur $hit in order then !!
