yep! It's an 80 vette, nothing special lol He has lung problems, 68 y/o, the car is on his bucket list. So, I'm going to paint it and his son wants to surprise him by going thru the engine and mechanicals.
 
Corvettes are one of the few cars that stayed true to the muscle theme even through the gas crisis and everything - light car with a decent cube V8... I've never even driven one - closest I came was my 87 "poormanvette" - aka: Pontiac Firebird.. was a damn fun car
 
the only other vette I have ever driven was was a 70-72? Convertable Stingray 454 4-speed that I painted for my boss at the time. He didn't even let his wife drive it. When I got done assembly, he came out and said "It needs road tested doesn't?" I agreed:) Unbelievable car.

Many moons ago, i 'dated' an older woman who had a dark green, early 70's vette with a 454 and auto trans. did a lot of riding but never got to drive the vette.
 
This vette is a bit rough, I counted 2 paint jobs on top of the factory where they painted around the handles and trim so it needs a little extra love.

That was my true dream car when I was 15. Still is, secretly. Black '71.
