Stop in for a cup of coffee

Good morning, good vibes going on in the coffee shop as usual I see (feel?)

Karl that Beep Beep song, we used to request that back in the 'late '60's when the local radio station had a "request line" sometimes, I don't think the DJ was too thrilled, but we kids loved it.

I remember hearing some of those on the radio when I was a kid... :happy1:

And I found a place here in Sweden not too far away that does valve jobs at reasonable prices. :thumblef:

Good morning to newcomers! :glasses7:

Well checked out the tester yesterday on the water temp line from the engine. Seems to work well but there is a serious wait time for the gauge to react. I was surprised how slow it was.

My head guy is very good and not as expensive as some machine shops... :farao:

Ah the kid groups, the Archies, Monkeys and a few more oldies but goodies!

That could be the time constant for the gauge... they don't move very fast... How long does it take for the engine to warm up? Slow when you watch the gauge...

Have you tried it on a fuel gauge? See how fast it works there...

Did you put it on the engine compartment wiring, or have the gauges out on a bench???

Great...

thin twisted or long rod pretzels???

Long rod. What we usually buy but I actually prefer the pretzel shaped ones.

Checked that valve job guy's home page. He's made a 66cc 2-stroke Zündapp moped that does 19 RWHP!!! And that's DIN hp.

Amazing.

I like that... A moped that can do a burnout.... :burnout:

Probably not a whole lot of low-end torque, though. :D

I had a pretty wild moped when I was young. Nearly all the chrome in the cylinder was gone so I think compression was close to zero. It had started out as a 7.5 hp cylinder with a 19 mm carb and it was a lot weaker than an original down low.

When it revved up though, gosh! It really took off! Had to shift immidiately, though, the power band was probably only like 500 rpm. :D

The carb was too big for the little frame it was in so it was mounted sticking out on the side which meant it spat fuel over my right leg. Always smelled of gas. :D

long rod... pfftt.. bwahahaha - like the fish - it was this  big - oh, ya like yer rod with a twist do ya...?
