So. Swapping in a 408 magnum based small block. Everywhere you read motor mounts will work. Just have to shim the drivers side. That is bunk. The teener block has 4 mounting holes. Only three are used tho. On passenger side on this block only has three mounting holes. You guessed it. 318 uses the rear hole. This only has the front hole. Had to cut modify right motor mount.

So based of a magnum block. You got me curious, I’m gonna have to go look at my 318 and 360 blocks tomorrow, both LA block. Will be interesting to see if they are different or not

They were truck only engines. We got lucky they did not decide to do away with car mounting points.

The difference is early VS late mounts. Early uses rear hole, late front....

Yuck it up Junior. I actually have a pristine running and driving ‘69 GTS with a Magnum 360 Mopar Performance crate engine putting out over 400 hp. I can paint stripes on the road at will and drive it anywhere I want any time I want.
