They should have came with washers unless they are tapered seat wheels (like a stock wheel)

Are they standard studs or longer. They do sell longer studs.
Are they tapered? They will not have a washer.

It would center the wheels slightly off to one side that the last lug nut could be really tight against the lug hole which would put pressure enough to make it hard to tighten

Morning . Hey Scott ,just going to throw this out , but on my rear drums I have one lock washer holding my drum ,don't know if your drum is sliding on an angle when you put the wheel on
In some cases longer is better.
