Stop in for a cup of coffee

Your story is not a one of. I cannot tell you how many times this story is retold. These guys will jump in a rig and do all kind of stuff for a guy they have never even met in person. I have driven many a mile to share time with a bunch of them in their own shops and never been disappointed. By same token many of them have taken the time and effort to swing by my shop as well. These guys and one girl will spoil your dog and drink all your whiskey if ya ain’t looking. Never mind the fact that none of them will hesitate to get their hands dirty helping ya. The sarcasm while dripping, is never served with malice! Welcome aboard!
Nothing better than a friends whiskey and spoiling their hound.

Tikey is a good guy.

But who are you :poke:

I grew up around cars my whole life - my dad owned a body shop and had a 73 Challenger, a 68 AMX, and a few corvettes that I had the privilege of driving throughout high school.

Now in my early 30s, I’m finally in a position to buy something for myself. I had my heart set on a Duster, but at this point, I just want something nice enough that I can take to cruise nights with my wife.

I like your dad already and glad to have a young guy interested in old cars.

Just got back from car meet up it was a pretty good show about 40 cars not bad for a first meet up

A few weeks ago, @dartnabout took time out of his day to help me inspect a Plymouth Duster. The sale didn’t work out with the seller, but, the 10 hour roundtrip was well worth it between the scenic drive and his words of wisdom - as a novice I learned a lot. This forum is fantastic - I’m grateful for this forum as a resource, and of course, for @dartnabout for taking the time out of his day!

It was a pleasure for sure. I to am sorry it didn't work out. Maybe we can find him the right car.

I'm an old retired body man but still pounding on fenders now and then.
Don’t let Fred fool ya @Fizzer6001 he has forgotten more about body and paint then most of us know. In fact many of us on here are rocking some of his aftermarket fiberglass creations that he designed and fabricated on our cars. He is an artist. I have spent many very pleasant hours in his shop. And he has spoiled my hounds in mine!

And drank all your booze when you weren't looking.
