Just a sponge like material in the eves trough as the water goes into the tank. Keeps the large particles out.
Put a cap full of bleach in every once in a while. Controls the green moss.
I’m thinking about doing the same thing for my garden, I’ve got a 8x12 shed out there.
Sure saves on water bill .
I have no water on the property other than the creek and pond
