Stop in for a cup of coffee

I made a jig to bolt on so I could roll it out from under the car. Two wheels up front and one at tranny. T shaped. Someone here has made a beautiful one a while back. Do you have a lift?

I do not have a lift, but I am not removing the engine and trans. Plan was to just drop the K member. Separate the upper ball joints, remove torsion bars, and 4 k member bolts. Engine is on a front engine plate, it can stay in.

Good deal on hemi parts if anyone is looking... $1300 for a pair of water alum heads is really good...

The original filter for the Kawasaki in my John Deere rider is may be 2" long. I bought a #51348 which is 3.4" long. (better)
There is a # 51516 which is 4.8" long. (better yet)
O Reillys has them in stock for #15. Now I see they also have a Microgard brand, same part number, and specs for $6.
(even better yet.)

Am i missing anything, or other things I have to consider? Haven't done it this way before

Nope, too long for the hood to close.

So, talk me through dropping the k member in the Demon instead of pulling the engine. It has an engine plate, so no worries there. Just brake lines, steering, torsion bars, k member bolts, and upper ball joints? Seems better than pulling the engine, cooking system, headers, trans etc.
Bit different leaving the drive train. Just go slow and check for anything missed or binding.

Torsion bars are the trickiest part in that, I have found it to be about the same amount of time to drop it vs pulling out from the top, but getting to everything is so much easier and nicer dropping it out the bottom. I vote drop it out the bottom

Cherry picker is all you need

One thing that really makes it easier is a second set of eyes. Pulling up thru top you can see most everything by yourself. Dropping it out the bottom it really helps having second person. I too made a cradle on casters which also helped immensely.

I received great news today, my Son is back in States after his latest deployment. Hopefully we'll get to see him sometime this Summer.
That is just great news. We remember all to well the sigh of relief we felt when our boy rotated back to American soil. As proud as we always were, There is just no end to the worrying when they are in WhateverStan. It is funny when it is yourself you never even consider the worry your family is going thru. When I came home I was caught off guard by the relief my family showed. Never dawned on me. Our boy was same, he talks to his Mom and she was a wreck for a week afterwards. I finally told him perhaps a bit less detail might be better! Hah! Man just great news for your family, I say eat and drink like pirates!

Yep, I never let him know I worry. That's his Mom's department and you're right, the less she knows the better off we all are. I know it's his job and that's what he's required to do but man I just don't relax until he's back on US soil. When he's home that's all he wants to do is eat, drink and sleep and that's exactly what we do!
