Stop in for a cup of coffee

Just got ready to go to the garage and found out theey are paving today and can't get in. Dummies sent out three e-mails about paving and the last two said they were going to start prep this coming Thursday.
Fortunately it will work out just as well for me that they will be done today (if that's true).

I will need to go back to my regular neurospine doctor and get a referral to a vascular surgeon. Sounds like they would need to remove my upper rib and repair the blood vessels if they are damaged.

One of many projects I never get around to. I bought an airflow gage and have the pressure and vac gages but never set it up to test.

yeah.. i smoked my intake this weekend and just trying to find if i have a vacuum leak to explain my timing issue.. and noticed my pcv was basically just full vacuum at idle.. will see if this makes any difference.. can't hurt :)

Another good picture at MITP

It should be.

Just got home from changing the tires out for my ATV. Went to my buddy's shop where he has a tire machine. Nope, wouldn't break the beads. Had to cut the tire all the way to the rim and cut steel cords until I could separate them. Took quite some time. New Tires went on easily .....Go figure... :mob:

They're painting lines all around me. My quick run at lunchtime was scramble of lane closures and cone zones

 Some of the reasons it was better being on the making and shipping end of the asphalt paving game
Yup, Worked Asphalt as a teen during summer vacation from high school. Learned a lot, learned how to be Hot..Hot..Hot on the road crew.. Was fun though, and they let me drive the rubber wheel Blawnox Paver on the last day....

I am looking at paving a portion of our drive with asphalt. Only about 100 yards by twenty ft wide. Hopefully it won’t bankrupt me! I will leave the other 1/2 mile in gravel!

I understand that it is becoming quite expensive to pave a driveway these days. I have 8,000 sq ft of driveway, and paid 9K to do that, 22 yrs ago.. Good Luck John....

Man... i been reading bout pcvs and **** for days and it's like everyone says different things and it's black magic.. either way i make 1inches of vacuum so it's not a bad change
Well, just think about the vacuum source. It is supposed to be from the base of the carb which is constant vacuum when the engine is running. I haven't thought about what the valve does when you step on the gas and the vacuum goes away. There is no spring inside to make the plunger do anything. If the blow by pressure is enough to unseat the valve then the vacuum sucks it into the base of the carb and the air stream. (I would imagine) A bad pcv, carboned, rusty, or the like, wont seal at low engine speeds and could cause a vacuum leak. If your engine is running borderline lean, I could see where it could lean it out even more at highway speeds when the blow by pressure is high. Just thinking out loud.

If I member right, that should be about 150T of AC @ 4" thick. Can't remember the $$ that would be. Good compaction of base material is one key to it's lifespan, the other being getting the blacktop sealed after a couple years to keep Mother Nature's effects to a minimum.
