Stop in for a cup of coffee

Was at work the other day changing out a UPS on something called an Adult Fish Trap or AFT. It's there to catch sockeye salmon who are trying to go up the Baker River but run into the dam. It's quite a system, enough going on to need a Com Room. Anyhow, they only catch (and put in our fish taxis) Sockeye salmon but this Chum salmon (or Dog salmon as they are also called) got in there, they see them on camera, funnel them into a chute/table and put them down a return to the river chute. I happened to be at the table when this one showed up. The guys and gals that work this job say it's a marine biologist's dream job.

Wow, This is your 40 plus hour job at times ? I think I would like it, especially the release part.

Haven't had good Salmon in years. Sea food in North Dakota sucks.
And here I always thought the northern fish was better, any lake near by that can be fished ? And what kind do you have there for eating ?

Ya but I bet you have some good recipes for Parrie dogs
best would be led, from 100 plus yards away from what my dad said, target practice back in his day.

Speaking of fiberglass, @Frodee Memike's son formed up a glass headliner for his charger and covered it with material. I was wondering what he was doing with the bee's wax. It turned out real nice.

Thank you Mike, yes, I was amazed at it really, if I ever need one for my 66 I believe this will be my direction as well.
@MeMikieJr is proud of how it turned out, he is moving right along on his big block 73 Charger

Walleye is the best. We dont let Northern Pike in the boat, also known as Snot Rockets.
Winnipeg river used to be plentiful with Sturgeon, now a restricted species here.

Morning!
Nothing on the agenda, real smokey as usual, some rain in forecast, thunderboomers maybe.
Will go unlock some sheds and figure out what to do.

Walleye or Crappie when we fished in Ontario. A nice Pike is fun to catch but we didn't keep them. Stick fish! Oh, Lake trout from Crowe Lake was delicious.

Great pics from Vancouver Island thanks! Last time we went up there I think we went to Parksville for a show there.

A friend of mine cooked up some Northern Pike and it was good but I never cooked any myself.

Yea Walleye, my spelling sucks.
No problem. I was a good speller in school but I can't seem to get even the simplest words right. They come up with a red squiggly line under them and I let spellcheck handle them. I'm not to swell at accurate typing either. :BangHead: :BangHead:

I can't remember but I think I flunked spelling in school. :BangHead:

Time for me to get the smoker fired up. I can do that in my PJ's can't I? Sure, why not. It's my patio.
