UGH! if you went to a swap meet and bought parts, would they still charge? and that's across borders I mean.
You have to check in at the border when coming back to the US. You might not pay terriffs but I bet you will pay a duty and that can be whatever they want to charge. They catch you lying and they can confiscate your vehicle and contents.

Inspection went well. The plumber is sticking around to fix a little drain pipe leak on down the line. The joint got disturbed when the new PVC was hooked into the old a few feet away.

Deal on a great reference

I had a beater Brat. I removed the B's so it was a rat. Use to beat it off road and used for a winter beater.. Lasted a year.
My ex-wife was driving an '87 Subaru GL when I met her, and I have to admit it was a tough little car. AWD, 5 speed, and went through bumper-deep snow like a knife through butter. I replaced the clutch once, the timing belts twice, and with regular maintenance it still ran like a champ the day we sold it, with 228k miles, to some guy who only wanted the engine for some powered-parachute "thingamajig".

Image I swiped off the interwebs:

Subaru's parent company was Fugi Heavy Industries. They built construction equipment.

Come to think of it, I do recall seeing that called out in several places on her car.

First car I ever worked on that switched the "ground", instead of the "hot, for the headlights, and that had me scratching my head for a while....

Anyway, that car was one ugly SOB, but man- It was like a Timex!

They have stuck with their Rotary engines. Only one that got some negative vibes was their attempt at a 6 cylinder that had some issues.

They call it a duty charge but still as a traiffs this is order recipe

We sold them at the Buick GMC dealer I worked at. They were tough SOB's. A few rural mail carriers drove them. Brakes and oil changes is about all they needed. Out on the gravel roads all year long.

We are slipping, I had to look all the way back to the middle of page 3 to find this thread. Everybody must be busy.

I was over at my storage garage looking for 64 Polara parts. The guy that owned the car needs some interior moldings that he knew went with the car. I found almost everything he needs. A member on B bodies got rear ended and is looking for some tail light bezels and lenses that I may be able to help him with, and I found a couple moldings in perfect shape to replace dented ones on my car. Didn't know I had them. I found a bag of body side molding clips as well. Bonus! All is good.
