Stop in for a cup of coffee

No freeways and no riding after dark were part of them here.
Don't remember the restrictions here.....closest freeways at the time was probably 10 miles, now there's Beltway 8 within about 2 miles and state highway 225 which is a little over 3. First bike to ride was a Sears Moped. My first time to ride I went through 2 ditches and pulled a fairly big wheelie back onto the street after barely missing a car parked in a driveway. Somehow I managed to not crash. The guy that owned the bike said "nice ride" and I said "no it wasn't" lol. Think I was 13 and that ride made me fall in love with 2 wheelers with engines!

Got ahold of a minibike that didn't have brakes and had direct belt drive. Milled the head on a driveway. It made a difference!! lol

I put hundreds of miles on that thing. Cops had no idea what to do when they saw me. Got to the point they waved! Did I would say around 20 MPH max. LOL dad have a dime for me to fill it up!

I ride every day here and love it . I will really miss it when I get back to the US. Just aint the same there......

I see a kid riding his little Briggs mini bike on the streets frequently round here. Whenever I did that with my Honda Mini Trail the LEOs always seemed to find me  Since it had a centrifigal clutch on it, I learned to walk next to it in 1st to get to my desert riding areas

Got caught by the cops 11:30 at night with a go-cart. It too had direct drive. Was a block over from the house and asked the cop if I could drive it home and he said nope. Well, got a screwdriver so I can take the belt off....don't want it to start up when I start pushing it. It doesn't have a shut off lever. He got out and looked in the trunk of the cop car and found one! Just glad dad wasn't home!

Speaking of go-carts, a friend had one his dad built with the drive train out of a Snapper riding lawn mower.. You know, a 6 horse vertical shaft Briggs and one of those friction disc transmissions. I think it had 5 speeds forward, neutral and reverse. His dad had the shifter locked in second so it didn't go 50.

Hey Chris, hope your day is going well.
I'm doing a bit better after last night's temper tantrum.
my granddaughter had a miss carriage yesterday and her first time being pregnant, I took it real hard.

Sorry to hear that, Fred. I'm sure that's very difficult for everyone.

Finding a grief outlet is important
