For a cheep antenna, you probably can't do any better. I think they advertised as 55 or 60 mile years ago. Some are good for long range (40+)only when pinpointed in right direction. I'd have to check, but I think my big gun will pull channel 8 from any direction. Even WBAL Baltimore I might have a 30 degree range where it gets a strong signal. The smaller ones probably need to be within a few degrees.

My gosh your house is beautiful in the winter too. Imagine 1921, there were people still using horse and buggies. People had "colored" help to cook and clean which certainly made a difference. The money to keep it up takes your breath away sometimes I'm sure but what a privilege to live in a home from that era. Do you know anything about the people who had it built?
