Stop in for a cup of coffee

I feel great! I just cant walk. I broke the arch in my right foot, so I cant even drive myself anywhere. I had surgery to remove a bone, and had 2 anchors installed to reattach the tendons. 3 years ago I did the exact same thing to my left foot. Its a genetic thing.
Ouch !!!!

Well it does get me out of shoveling snow. Now the wife has to do it. We have a snowblower but she doesnt want to use it. Of course, it has snowed on Sunday so she did a quick shovel job. Then yesterday it snowed a couple inches and was windy so it drifted. She shoveled that. Guess what, today its supposed to snow 2-3 inches. She is not going to be happy!

you're going to need a kid from the neighborhood SOON!

Yeh, they did pretty good. Slow traffic on some hills, but otherwise all good once I got out of my driveway.
nice - it was low 40's here on the way in - roads were fine - it was the dingdong moron drivers that slowed down the works... idiots..

Good luck with that! My neighbor found a kid to do his, but I think he is a friend of theirs. He doesnt live around here and has to be driven over.

I am going make sure my daughter gets out there to help her when she gets home from school.

Here the only time you slow down really is behind a farm tractor in the spring and fall.

Oh man, You and I are stuck in the house , You are hobbling and I am restricted to not eating, drinking anything hot, not hot showers or bending over or pick anything up over 10lbs. I have 3 more days to go :steering:, I hope everything went well with your surgery

When I was around 32, I jumped down off off a wall, about 6 feet, onto a hard surface, parking lot, and broke the Heel Bone on my right foot. I think it is called the Callcaneous Bone. One of the most painful injuries I ever had. As you well know, you need to keep it elevated, to keep the blood and the pounding to a minimum. I was on Crutches for 14 weeks. Even went to my Fathers Funeral on crutches in week 6.
NOT FUN , with Foot Injuries !!!

Make sure its really slow if they are hauling the **** spreader!
They use liquid **** here and spray it on the field, Once I was behind one that must have just got done spraying and tought it was all gone he left the valve open and every turn ther was a good amount coming out, pretty nasty actually.

Interesting, that you cant have anything hot. If you dont mind me asking, what is it that you have that you cant eat hot foods or even shower with hot water?

Thank you! I need it to heal perfectly so Im making sure to do what the doctor says. We have a 2 week cruise to go on, and that is 1 week after I start walking again. So I want to make sure that Im healed up good so I can go.

Ouch, I can imagine the pain of that, not to mention how long it takes to heal. Have you ever had any problems with it since? Im thinking because I have flat feet that is part of the reason my arches broke.

Hey finally got the run of window channel felt for the darts upper window frame, if it works I will have a good part number to get it in lengths instead of a $150 kit.

yea, they use the same **** here (pun intended) - lots of farms around here - nasty is the word for it

There is a farm in the area that has a poop pond for all the cattle runoff in the pens, on a hot day and the wind is right you get a wiff of the country life for sure.

only thing that even comes close to being as bad is having your septic cleaned out on a hot summer morning...

Around here I think they use liquified chicken crap or something. It's in the air heavy when they do it. No chicken coups nearbye, but a 100 acres + farm behind me.
