They wanted to put the "mound" in front of the house, Hell no it went in the field 200 feet away no way was I going to look at that every day.
OUCHLike this just one more tank I guess for semi solids? Really stupid if you ask me, part of our closing was to get a new septic system put in we had a old cesspool prob from the early 1900's since it was brick lined and in pa it is illegal to use so he had to put $20k in escro. The new system was $19500!

That is INSANE!That what they insist you put in here when your traditional system fails. People end up homeless over it.
They want you to have a permit to even pump out. So everybody gets involved. Most try and do repairs on the down low, but ya always got that one neighbor. Health Dept steps in declares the house unlivable with no septic and your out the door. Most don't have or can get 20k, I have heard some upwards of 30k for a larger 4+ bedroom house.Thats sad, and a hell of a lot of money so I understand how that could happen.
It's the health dept/ Chesapeake Watershed water quality nazi'sThat is INSANE!
let me guess, you have to be a certified installer to put one in as well right? It's the health dept/ Chesapeake Watershed water quality nazi's
Here in MN you have to be.let me guess, you have to be a certified installer to put one in as well right?
That's what they told me at the zoning dept. Alot of cheap houses for sale here, investors dream, until you can't get a C.O. until the septic is redone.Wow a permit to even pump it.. That is a crock of ****!
yep, and it has to be built to the Health Dept Engineers plans, yup they get to design it.Here in MN you have to be.
A lot of our old rural systems used 55 gal drums. They didn't last forever.Three 1500 gallon concrete Tubes? The bottoms are on the soil.
I just crap in the neighbor's yard and blame it on stray dogs...
