Wow, just saw the thread complaining about the for sale ads...just nuts.

When folks complain loudly that a site like this doesn't work exactly how they want, they have lost sight of all the opportunities this site gives them to converse, share and interact on a topic that they love that they would never otherwise have. Want to search the bare internet for A-body info and parts? Have at it, you are on your own. It's a nightmare out there.

Those that cry even louder about how much they have done on here somehow making them entitled to even more...further fail to understand that a place like this gives them a voice they would never otherwise have to be an expert on something and be heard by others. It's only because this place exists that they have any voice at all. It's not an entitlement...it's a rare gift. People all over the World in technical professions struggle to get published and here it's as simple as creating a thread.

If FABO didn't exist, no one would be listening to them and certainly no one would pay them for their opinion or 'expertise'.

Whining about paying for a "Gold Membership"? Really? If you were a technical professional, you'd pay 3x that much just to read the content of a site on your area of expertise because if you didn't, you couldn't see it. Here you can for free...even without a "gold membership".

I personally want to thank @Joeychgo for the great site he has created and how it has enabled all of us to connect...both on A body Mopars and also as friends. This site allows us all to create a database of technical knowledge on A-bodies that even Chrysler doesn't have...and keep these cars alive to be loved not only by us, but those after us.

The ads and for sale threads are part of what pays for it all so that we can reap the benefits of the rest.

I get that some of these guys are knowledgeable and at least currently, may give more than they get from the site. So they don't feel they should pay to help others. I'm sure there are a few, and very few, for which that is actually true. I know firsthand how much $40 is when you don't have it to spare. I let my gold go for about a year. Hopefully I have it when it comes around again. But, the site is free, so it's not like your out the door when it expires.

Memikie don't do drama :thankyou: I and many here enjoy this site as much as I do, some folks/member take the time to help others with there questions and get fulfillment from it.
I know I am not the most humble member, and I see some concern members that enjoy helping and do it with out complaining if people don't take there advise (some get butt bent over it) then get lit up and go to other posts and tell them how dumb, stupid or blind they are (taking it out on other members)..
Then before you know it they want to complain about anything they can :wtf: The term Take It Easy goes along way here I think, we can let things drive us crazy or we can enjoy the ride in life, and just be glad this site exists :thumbsup: I have seen this site go down for technical reasons and I must say it ain't easy doing with out our fellowship here :BangHead: and I am not alone :lol:
And I keep my gold membership just to show my appreciation to all the knowledge and fellowship I receive here :p
