thankfully - here in New England, it is mostly true what they say - if you don't like the weather right now, just give it a day..

Here in Arkansas we say - Hay ! if you don't like the weather today, just wait ! It will change

Going to be a pain this week without a tool truck. I lost reverse yesterday. I backed up a foot and "clunk". I think I broke a band according to popular opinion. 160,000 on this rebuild. Better than any tranny I have had in 28 years and 3 trucks.

Send it I do not have a 2 setting on the machine but do have a 2 setting on a meter, worth trying. Nothing for you just throw a note in it what it is doing and your # It has a shaft I can lock in the tester right? Not familiar with it at all.
it's a 1956(or 1957, we're not really sure) John Deere Model 60 gas. 2 cylinder. Ran fine until we ran it out of gas accidentally and then it hasnt ran worth crap since. Had our carb professionally rebuilt by a guy specializing in these old carbs(they are far different than a holley/eddy). And even bought a brand new carb from John Deere, still wont fire. Checked the timing, replaced the condensor, the points, plugs, wires and coil. Barely getting any spark to the plugs. We can get a new dizzy but they're 850 bucks thru John Deere, which appear to be the only place that carries the one we need.

a sign to just retired earlier than anticipated :poke:

Chris is the shaft wobbly? If so my bud can prob make bushings doubt you can find them.

Post a pic of it I want to make sure it will go in the machine.
ive never pulled it yet, but this is what google shows it to be, which means it is shaft-less

look for a pic of the bottom shaft, I have a flat head adapter that might work with it.

I still have to sell what's in it. I really don't want to spend the money this late in the game but if it works it still has value. If it doesn't it's worth just a few hundred bucks for scrap.
