Stop in for a cup of coffee

Havent been there, but my sister didnt call...

You guys good for Sunday? Should be decent weather. I plan to head down tomorrow AM. Supposed to be cold and windy tomorrow, so not figuring on doing much till Sunday.

At present still up in the air on Sunday for me. I have to check with Anthony. I haven't talked to him in a few days.

Mornin'!

I'm this close to firing up my engine for the first time. Haven't connected the trans cooling lines, though.

Would I be ok to just run a hose from in to out for a few minutes?

Does your trannie have fluid in it? I wouldn't be afraid if it is just a minute or so. All the radiator does is cool it. Just don't allow it to get too hot.

It does, but only about half of what it should be. It was empty when I got it and I could only get about 4 qts in it. I suppose the torque converter is empty too.

I don't have any exhaust on it so it probably won't be running for long. :D

Co worker still can't help. Four or five of us would knock that last bit out fairly quick.

I'm gonna try, but not counting on him after the last round. I figure if I get even a little more prep done tomorrow, the rest should go quick. There isn't much left to clean off - that took a lot of time

Is that your Good neighbor??

Yes, the 93 year old guy across the street who knew my grandpa real well. He's the one that I was taking to the farm stand with me as his eyes are so bad that he can't see good enough to drive anymore.

The lady behind him gave them a hard time when it fell about 5 years ago when his wife was alive. She had a heart condition and dimentia. The lady complained to the power company to get the power shut off before they could get their pole replaced, so he had to pack up and go to his son's house for a few days. His dog had ticks then and couldn't go. His son hooked up a generator to supply power to the furnace and I was watching the dog and filling the generator with gas at night for them...

Funny thing, one of the trucks from the utility company got stuck (again) in his yard (rainy and sloppy mud) and another truck had to come out and winch him back out. It got stuck last time that it fell.... :banghead:

They got it done much quicker this time, just a couple of hours.... (Funny how quick they work after quitting time on OT....)

I would wait and connect them to be safe. There was a recent thread about a guy who started his engine without the trans fluid filled and burned up the trans... Not worth risking...

Looks like another free day today for me to work on the GTS. Blasting and painting Hardware and attaching bolts to install engine and trans soon. Maybe next week it will be running.

I am trying to re arrange the garage for the winter, amazing how much stuff you can accumulate in one summer!

Very windy here today and tomorrow. Rules out Deer Hunting. They usually lay all day on windy days.

It seems to have calmed down today, but they are still predicting some wind gusts, good luck over there and I hope your power stays on...

You fart here I lose power, second to last house on this grid in these parts! Need to make sure I have gas for the generator though.....
