Stop in for a cup of coffee

Bring the beer in and put it on the floor by the tv, walk in the room and watch your dear wife bag up the stuff out of your way then locate where it needs to be repaired, have a beer and then get the torch out and needed fitting and lay it next to your beer :color: have another beer as you prep fittings :glasses7: watch you sweet wife vacuum the carpet water up and tell her what a great wife she is then have another beer :D I truly wish I could be there to hand you a beer when you needed it #-o .. stay strong my friend ! Stay strong :glasses7:

I think it is a hose from the keg type of day. I hope the wet dry vac still works.

Now That's Funny Right Here
Good one :D

Sorry to hear about the broken pipe.

When I looked outside first thing this morning, there was a flock of 50+ American Robins foraging in the yard. I don't know much about birds but I have a book to identify them. They had a nice song too and were out there awhile then suddenly they were gone.

Stop shooting at them and they will stay around!

Morning, how is it out in Houston today? We got a break here with the temps in the 40's yesterday. Got rid of a lot of ice.

Morning all. Got above 40 here yesterday as well. Lovin it. Although, Deep freeze again this week.

Along with all of the mess inside which will be episode two today I cleared a lot of the ice of the drive, I can actually see the gravel! Spring is on its way!!!

I am in the cleaning up from the flood stage still. Amazing how wives have there hidden stashes around the house. The room is like a storage room since there are not any good size closets here in the house. If I had it my way it would all be in the trash, but she has to clean it off the floor and dry it out. Only so much patience that I have. There are boxes of her papers from college 30 yrs ago! Really a pain in the ***! The baseboard we rarely use so it is not that urgent to splice. I heat the house with a coal stoker. Prob why it froze. Hell I wanted to pull the carpet up and re do the hardwood under it anyhow. Another thing on a long list. I have to run the kid around this morning so I can get a few hours break from it.

So you have the heat system shut down untill you splice the break, after you find it in the wall?

Yes, the baseboard water is shut off and I have not used it this year so far. This is an 1802 log cabin and all the heating pipe is outside the walls in the house and where it transitions to other rooms it goes down through the floor over then up into the next room. So that is relatively easy to fix. I would not even know how to pas it through 10" logs that are rock solid cherry.

I am thinking that section ( and others ) has a shut off Mich, maybe :coffee2: Good morning everyone :coffee2: waiting on my first cup, having my morning water

Sound like fun. NOT. I hate plumbing issues. But.... I also hate paying some one to do what I can do cheaper.

I have wanted to put a water heating coil in the coal stove for a while and add it to the heating system. I guess now is my chance. It will not heat the whole system but it will keep the system warm at least, around 70-80 I would think.

Morning all. Sounds like you are getting your pluming problems sorted out.

The system has two zones for circulation but only one shutoff. It was hooked up to a 1900's coal boiler when I purchased the house. I put in a tri fuel a friend had in place of it. I almost never use the oil in this house, just will not keep up with it. It uses around a gallon an hour. Way more affordable to use the coal, around 4-5 tons a year. Around 100 a ton here in coal country.

Morning to all that came on while I was ranting. It is controlled, just a big mess to deal with. Rant, rant rant rant rant.......

Not a problem That's why we are here. You can get it off your chest over a cup of coffee with friends.

Only pluming problem I have toolman is getting my first cup of coffee in me, I walked away from the coffee pot and for got to turn it on :banghead: but I have a cup in front of me now :D 21 degrees here and looking at driving Treva down the hill then let her drive to work as I walk back up an ice and snow filled hill about 160 feet back to the house :glasses7:
