Stop in for a cup of coffee

I may go to the auto show this morning with my youngest son. He has to work later this afternoon, so we have to go early if we go today...

It's -19° wind chill here this morning but the sun is shining. Nice to see the sun.
 

Well the driveway is cleared but we have a broken pipe in the baseboardsystem (we use coal to heat) It is in a spare room up against the outside wall. Lucky she found it. She was yelling at the dog for peeing but then saw where it was coming from. So much for my day now....

Oh Man #-o I bet you have everything to fix it (I hope) , draining the water out of your copper lines can be a B...h, let it drain as much as it can then poke some bread in it so you can solder in your repair :happy1: Get the BFH out I quess eh ?

I know how to do it the big PIA is all the stuff that got wet, It was where my wife stores out of season clothes, guess what they are wet to the top, the carpet, all the misl stuff. It is going to suck today. My biggest problem is my beer is frozen in the shop fridge!

The dam firechicken caused this I bet!!!!!!

I definitly prefer soldering everything. I recently added a sink at work and didn't want to keep all the water off long. I used those 'shark-bite' fittings for the tie-in. Solved the problem of soldering to the wet pipes and no leaks.

Bring the beer in and put it on the floor by the tv, walk in the room and watch your dear wife bag up the stuff out of your way then locate where it needs to be repaired, have a beer and then get the torch out and needed fitting and lay it next to your beer :color: have another beer as you prep fittings :glasses7: watch you sweet wife vacuum the carpet water up and tell her what a great wife she is then have another beer :D I truly wish I could be there to hand you a beer when you needed it #-o .. stay strong my friend ! I think the clothes were up against it insulating it from the room air. I love this place but it is a 200 year old home, every connivance was added at some point. I just need to warm up then into the mess I go.
