Stop in for a cup of coffee

Well, I did my weekly weigh-in this morning and I’m now down 25 lbs.

Carrying that extra weight was like walking around with a belt like this (same amount of weight)

carried out and put away. Box up leftovers and start on transmission next. Oh,got alternator spacing sorted out.
Spacers measure 1-1/8” and 2-1/4” with a 3/8x5-1/2” bolt.
Belt lined up perfect. Just need to get length where i want it. Will wait until its in car.

We run out of coffee??
No better time than the present.

Guess they are starting to come into the light now that the days are getting longer...

Great. I know so little about camshafts, if i go read it i will know even less....why does it have to be so difficult??

Not much to know. The cam goes “bump, bump, bump” and the engine goes “vroom, vroom, vroom”.

The higher the bumps and longer they go, the more vroom you get.

But all them guzintas is where the light gets a little dim.
And degrees, wth? Farenheit or celcius, no further.
Dont get me wrong, i like vroom as much as the next guy,but holee-too many variables.

Yeah, the equations can get a bit complex but once you understand it all, it’s really not all that complicated. It just takes some time and persistence to get to a good level of understanding.

So many car events going on today and I just didn't feel up to doing any of it. Did some yard work, took a nap, then polished the Camaro. You ever have one of those days where you don't feel like being around anyone?

Yup,, Pretty much , just watched the snow melt around here today.. Gettin ready to get out of town for a while...

Update on the saga of my neighbors deck. He ended up firing the first crew and hired a different one that knew what they were doing. They dug new footers, set the concrete properly and finished the job in less than a week. I’m glad he got it done right.

After buddy welded up my engine stand, i wrapped up the odds and ends. Turned heat down in shop and locked things up. Put the pos ford in shop in case owner gets a stupid idea and tries to remove it while im gone. Will be a nice break.
Momma’s got bags packed and waiting by the door, car is full of gas. I would say we ready to go.
