Stop in for a cup of coffee

Best thing is , that I don't have to pull on that chain anymore. That door gets used way more than the other one. I should have done this a long time ago.

Worked on the GTS a little yesterday. Probably do a few more things today with it. Waiting on warmer weather sop I c an roll it outside to finish sanding an priming the engine bay for color. I won't do it inside . Makes too much of a mess in my shop.

I hear you on the mess. I need some weather here so I can blow the shop out. To much dust and stuff between the cars, salt and doing stuff with the wood working tools.

I am amazed on a part I ordered yesterday afternoon from e bay it is at the post office already! That is fast for brake pads!

We broke a record overnight -24°. Damn the coffee taste's good.

shop is closed another day here ...I think we are getting paid back for lost time with the snow. Most of the month of FEB was spring like and now we are getting it all at once :protest:

On the way home I got behind a plow and that made it easier but soooo slow. The lights of the plow kept fading in and out in the blowing snow. Looked like a scene from Polar express when he on top of the train.......great movie!!

once I got home I went straight for the diet coke with cherry juice again :glasses7:

I made my mind up when I built the shop that I would not do body work and paint inside. I'm not a body guy anyhow. I 'm just learning a few things to save a little time and money. I,m going to shoot some single stage urethane in the correct color outside, for the engine bay only, when the weather permits. Just so I can get the car under power. I'll send it to my buddy's body shop for the quarter panel replacement and paint job on the exterior. The fenders and doors are already done , ready to bolt on the car and paint.

That sound addicting! Morning.

morning all Mr. Ray, Mr Mitch, And Mr. TMM

today should be fun though .....my cousin is getting the day because she is a school teacher and they closed all the schools today. So I get a buddy to hang out with today.

overspray makes a mess, especially the clear coat overspray. All my tools and tool boxes have the overspray film and its annoying.

The overspray from the clear is nasty because its sticky. One time I sprayed a car in a T-shirt (bad idea) and its gets on your skin and feels sticky and makes your hair feel weird. At least the overspray from the primers and base coat is not sticky so it sweeps up like dust even though it still get everywhere.

Sanding dust is also another problem but at least it sweeps up as well.

I didn't think they closed schools in Col for snow ?

they are weenie here because its really dry here so snow is not a common thing like in northern Co or out west into the mountains.

This is really unusual to see this much snow here. Usually there are 4 or 5 good storms a season and they melt off in a day or two so this is making everyone think the end of the world is near. LOL

I never should have done the body work in mine last year in the fall. It is still dusty in it. I need to clear everything out, blow it out and pressure wash what I can. I need to paint the floors so it might be a good time to do it. The Hops are going to be intense this spring with all of the orders for rhizomes already. I am so glad my Bud/neighbor retired and likes to help me out with it. I might have to run a tab at the beer store. One great thin the boy will be 21 and can do beer runs for us!

I need to take a look at my dart later today.....has a weird thing that just started this morning.

I am just going down the road and suddenly the headlights and dash lights go kinda dim and the heater blower motor slows down and it does it for a couple minutes and then suddenly everything brightens up and the blower motor speeds up to normal....then after a few mins everything dims out again and does it all over again......like a slow surge....???

when it goes dim, everything still works, just a weird feeling because that's not right.

Normal temps here on the hill this time of year is 52 degrees, it is frig'en 16 degree's here in the mid south :pale::pale: Good morning everyone :glasses7: poring another cup of :coffee2:
then driving my wife down our ice covered driveway #-o

I know on my 74 I can take the ground off the battery when running and it still works well. That is my trouble shooting for a bad alt.

You to Mich  time to go drive my hard working lady to work, you all stay out of trouble today :D

Love that bundled up cardinal Mike! You need to put that one on Facebook.

Morning all, stopped snowing for now but calling for more. The wind was blowing bad yesterday, so we had lots of drifting, couldn't make it to the garage when I got home. Need to get the tractor out and start digging. After coffee of course:coffee2:
