Still gaving a headache.
Welding?
Cleaner/solvent?
Body filler?
Im thinking welding. Yes, my automatic welding helmet is decent. But a couple times i tacked without the lid.

Body filler always gave me a wicked headache. Even just small amounts. It’s part of the reason I closed my Auto Upholstery Business back in the late 80s and decided to go into science and engineering instead.

She’s actually doing pretty well.

She realizes that she pushed her way out of the situation without fear and was totally willing to defend herself. She then made the right choice to report it and follow through with the complaints.

She is feeling a little empowered by the whole thing and is a bit more confident in herself...as she should.

Like I have taught her from the beginning, women don’t need anyone to defend them...they just need to be capable and willing to do it themselves.

She has apparently learned the lessons well.
Glad to hear .

Welding flash doesent seem to happen anymore since i started wearing glasses. Thank goodness, the three times i got it were horrible!

My experience was a bit different. I was in auto body shops 8-12 hours per day doing vinyl tops, headliners and interiors. I was exposed to massive fumes and my Upholstery adhesive fumes compounded the exposure.

At Christmas time in 1984, I came down with a nasty upper respiratory infection. It was chemical pneumonia from all exposure to the fumes, within 24 hours, I was in the emergency room with my blood oxygen dropping fast...and they almost couldn’t stop it.

I spent 10 days in the hospital and was lucky to survive. My blood O2 came within 2 points of dying several times. At one point they hit me with adrenaline injections 10 times in a row to stop the cascade...and it barely worked. It was just enough to get me into ICU.

Once out of the hospital, I stopped working in the business immediately and shut my company down totally in 3 months...it took me that long to recover enough to even be able shut it down and let the employees go.

Body filler fumes are nothing to mess with. Wear a full face respirator with cartridges specific to those solvents at all times. The fumes can even go through your eyes into your bloodstream.

Wow, Never had an issue with the stuff. But then I have likely never been exposed to that concentration. I am almost always outside with it. And at least lately have used a paint respirator. I have noticed I am much more sensitive to any fumes than I used to be. I have got in the habit of always using the respirator
I do have serious chemical sensitivity to some fragrences. Notably - Glade and some other air fresheners, some candles, Fake grape -like in cigars. Start with headache, nasea and makes me feel fatigued like I have the flu within a short time

you are probably tall enough to drive it.

I had a 70 'Cuda…..U code 4 speed car but I only drove it a few times, because I could hardly see over the dash.

Those dashes come at you at an upward angle and visibility is so poor, and the interiors in those cars are huge.

You set low in the E bodies...

The kid and I went down in the basement to look for an alternator core to rebuild for the Roadrunner...

And looking through some of the bins, I found a brand new slant 6 electronic ignition distributor... :D

That is a good thing to have around

Yes it is...

But I don't have any cars with slant 6's anymore....

I actually think that this came from the electronic conversion kit for the ex's 64 Dart.... We may have misplaced it, I think we were looking for it for a while after we got her car running for her....

Same here, sun will be shinning on the hill today :thankyou: I am ready for it
