Stop in for a cup of coffee

I think I will work on the hops dryer today, I picked up a temp/humidity controller to try out and see if it works better that thermal switches. Something to do in the shop. Its to cold to lay on the floor and work on the car.

Sounds like a good thing to start on today, standing in warm boots and wiring up a new system is much better then laying on a cold floor Hops :D Lower is colder :color:
Never thought about humidity, I bet that is a must do in the Hops business :coffee2:

You need to get the humidity down to an ideal 7 % which is hard to do. The heat cannot go above 120F or you boil the oils out. I built one in a metal military storage container with heat lamps on the bottom and a exhaust fan on top to pull the humidity out. It is easy to get them down to 30% but after that you have to be creative, My heat turns off at 110 and on again below 90. A lot of trial and effort. Works great for jerky in the off season! Just bump the heat up. There is no off the shelf equipment for hops production so you have to improvise making it all unless you have 30k to spend on large scale equipment. You have to figure out what you need, crack open a few and grab the welder!

That sound like a good warm working area for this morning, I did not even think about this till you said something about it, I think it's time for pictures  cool indeed :glasses7:

I will snap some. You will love the container I am using.

Can't wait to see this and learn a few things I bet :color:

Well Men :glasses7: It's time to slide down the hill and get my wife to work, looks like my new Dodge Avenge is going to be setting at the bottom of the drive way for a day or two, Everyone have a good day, I will be back in about an hour and a half :coffee2: if I am not some one call for a wrecker and send it to hwy 141 north of Jonesboro :D

Did you get this dun yet !! Dang #-o it's friggen 11 degrees here this morning krazyK :pale:
I don't even think I could walk down my drive way right now, I would be on my back and sliding for 100 feet if I did :D

Yep, I got it done.

My face had to thaw for a few minutes after I came in before I could change my expression...
