Stop in for a cup of coffee

Got a lot on my plate today !! Gotta tune up a Doge Dakota V6, and tear out the HVAC unit in my laundry room to make ready for the new unit since it will be warm this week.

I had to turn the AC on in the bedroom last night. Yep ....that time of year is coming. We have Employee appreciation week this week which means prizes and good food.

I was really waiting for it to warm up a little so I could have it disabled for a few days to adapt sheet metal. I didn't want the little lady to get cold in the mornings downstairs here. The Elect Back up heat was still working. No compressor.

Any thoughts on new Campbell Hausfeld? I'm looking at compressors for work, 460v 3phase. Probably a 5HP. They appear to be good ratings vs price.
I have an old 2hp that I bought used that keeps chugging along...

Good morning folks, no internet here on the hill for the last 24 hours, back on line today looks like, how long :???: who knows..

Your old 2 horse may chug along for many years. Unless you need more air I would stay with that one. The Campbell's have always been a cheaper built/ cheaper priced compressor.

Morning Mike. No internet? I would probably get some work done on my car if I didn't have internet. LOL

I went to the track Mike :glasses7: Looks like this blue Barracuda got some updates over the winter and is sporting a big block :color: 6.50 money winner Sunday

Oem is hard to find. I looked for a few years and found a nice used one. $100. Just about the same price as the repops. tmm

TMM,
Did you add one to a car that didn't have it originally? Same style I pictured? I'd be interested in what car, placement, any particulars...
I read a few posts of guys saying they can see, can't see, use back-up plate - or not.
The one I'm getting has no glass in it. I'm thinking I will look for convex glass like modern mirrors. "Objects in mirror are closer ...".
Thanks,
Keith

EEMS LIKE THE SMALL VENT WINDOW POST BLOCKS THE VIEW IF IT IS THE SAME DISTANCE BACK AS THE ds KEITH. Factory placement who you gonna call? Ask Rani.

Yes, I could use more air, but this would be for work..
The one I'm looking at is CH 'Commercial', 5HP, 80gal, 460v. The compressor is rated for 17,000 hrs. $1800

No vent window on Dusters...maybe that's what others were talking about them not being able to see. At least for '75, there was no factory option for standard mirror on passenger side of Duster. Only dual sport mirrors were offered. Don't know what other years or models this applied to, but would explain them not being very plentiful.
