Stop in for a cup of coffee

Well I have to go to tractor supply to get a mower deck belt for the little deere I use for cutting in. Have a good on keith, hey if you need some parts We might go tomorrow so pm them to me if you want me to pick them up and a rough what you would pay with your cell #.

after it's done I know I'll want to trade-up on some trim and stuff, but don't think I'm missing much. Maybe some hardware, little odds and ends, I'll think about it today. Im pretty much at the point I don't NEED more parts, since I took the last key item off my want list. :thumleft:
I'm sure if I was there I would find things.

Nothing, Been up for an hour or so, about to go back down....

I have a final in GD&T today, but haven't studied for it much yet... Need to review for the test tonight...

But need to get more rest. I'm through the rough part of the cold, but it's still hanging on.

Morning Keith, got the PM should be an easy find. I know the clips well.
Karl, I thought your class was over?

Karl, I thought your class was over?

That was the Inventor 3D modelling class, I finished all of the work a week and a half ago.

I've been focusing on the GD&T class after that...

Then they are going to offer certification testing the first week of June. There are 3 different certifications that they are offering, I could definitely try for two of them, the third would be a crap shoot, as I've only had one out of four classes that it covers, but I have many years of working in the field, the test is open book, and the teacher told me that he'd loan me a book if I need one...

Not sure if I want to try for three certifications at once, but it's the best time before I forget some or most of it over the next year if I wait....

They will have study sessions with free pizza to prepare for the certification test the week before the testing...

However, the inventor 3D test may be a little difficult as there are 4 or 5 subjects on there that we didn't cover in class, the teacher says to just go to the web site and review the tutorial... I like to have more instruction than that before I'm comfortable. I thought that the purpose of taking the classes is to you learn and master what is going to be on the tests.... #-o

Karl,

Cool, the only other big parts thing I think of is door and side window seals. Not sure what the repops cost, but probably not worth screwing around with used.

Were you doing this before and just updating your brain or is this a career change.? Are you inline for a specific job when done? I think it's great that your doing it. I lost my job after 26 years. Was facility service manager. Was tough to find another one. I worked Harley last year as a 'surge casual'. Was a very different experience from being a boss. Physically tougher, but was nice to just do my job and leave. Been at my current job as a ' maintenance tech' for 9 mo now. I'm a one man show, very busy, but without the stress level I had in my other job.

It is hard to go from the boss back to a worked, did it a few times though. My best job with no stress was believe it or not picking Bannanas in Hawaii. It was hartd to find a job there being a "HOL"E" non native or non Asian., and a friend of mine hooked me up with working in a banana field. We each had 1 acre to keep trimmed and the only real show up day was wed morning at 0300 to clean and box them to get on the boat. There was always a keg of refreshment available and certain areas I kept out of due to the other crops I wanted nothing to do with. The hardest part is when you cut a bunch of banana's down it lands on your shoulder and a rat jumps out and runs down you! You get good with a machete fast! Mindless no stress work, kind of like hops!

Morning there fellow Pennsylvainian! Got your pm look like it will be tomorrow. Why is it so hard to get three people to agree on a day to go if 2 are retired and one is out on summer break?

It is crazy Hops. I tried to pull something together for mothers day and in the end it was just me and she. Everyone has so much to do.

Hey what do you want to pay for that linkage by the way? If it around there I will pick it up. Less is good if it happens no idea of the prices yet.

Actually I need the tranny linkage for the 440. I think I will just take some from the v8 cars and see what happens, I have a lokar cable for the kickdown it is just the column stuff I will have to play with.

I would say $20-$25 They ae on ebay for $30-35 Don't worry about it too much.

Nah, It looks like it will all stay south of us , and be a real nice stretch of weather.
