Duster De-ruster
this duster I am working on is going to be a test of commitment......
I often don't finish projects so I had to evaluate why. A: lack of a plan ....
so looking at this picture I thought ...."how can they work so efficient" .....they don't change their mind on anything or analyze it .....they just build what was ordered.
So I came up with the idea to make my own build sheet and when I sign it when its finished ....that will be my contract with myself to not think about it anymore, absolutely no changes. Don't think about it ....just build it as per the sheet.
we will see if it works
Thats one advantage of doing a restoration vs custom. The plan was already written. I dont have to be too strict to the letter like a higher end numbers car. I made a few minor mods, sway bar, poly bushings, diff radio. Plus my plan is not 'factory'. It is 'slightly used driver'. So, not having 100% OEM is completely acceptable. I am taking mine very close to original though. I can still get lost in the details of how to accomplish that. I am very particular on things looking 'right', but sometimes perfect and done are not both possible. So i need to find the cost/ time effective way to move on to the next step.
