I like them first gen Monte's. Always wanted an SS , you know, with the big block.

No this is almost a survivor 350 2bbl He is doing it for his wife, and to drink beer away from her! Should be a nice car, not a resto but a freshen up I guess.

I remember him telling me about it. Sm block, big block, I still like that body style. Pretty rare to see them these days.

I am trying to convince him to just redo the engine with rings and bearings and a eco cam but he just wants to reseal it. Not like he is broke on the project. To me it is time to rebuild it all.

Chevy parts are cheap. Tell him to get on the ball!

I figure about 500 to do the heads and the boil out and new cam bearings installed. If it needs a bore you can get an oem style kit for 300 or so.

It's always easier to pull those ball joint while the arm is in place. You must not have supervised that one. LOL

I'm gonna clear some leaves from the back yard for a bit before they get too deep...

Here's a shot of the kid's Mustang with a few leaves on it and some nice color in the background... Maybe get a shot of it with the background and no leaves all over it...

Well he started taking it apart, then the upper control arm bolts began to get stubborn... :violent1:

Then I made it a mission "to get these apart if it's the last thing we do tonight..."

Sometimes you can get them off on the bench, but these are in there too well.... I need to get them mounted back on the car so i can get the cheater pipe out and crank them (maybe add some heat...).... :violent1:

This is his first Challenger suspension rebuild. He's noticing the differences between the Valiant suspension and the Challenger suspension.... #-o

It was my youngest son's 18th birthday last night. We went out to Outback for dinner. I bought a nice cake for him from our local bakery and a half dozen brownies on the side.

After dinner we snacked on the brownies and haven't cut the cake yet....

So when we do, I'll get some pictures and post it for all of your drooling pleasure...

Strawberry whip cream cake --->>> Like a piece of strawberry short cake in every bite..

Sitting at the Quakertown Family Restaurant wating for my corned beef hash. See what ya gone and done now OMR. LOL

I made that mistake with the Duster. Put back on and got one of them. Had to take one up to the garage and he got it out with a monster impact gun and some real air pressure.

Control arm in a vise and a 3/4" impact with about 100# of pressure worked just fine for me.
