Stop in for a cup of coffee

Good morning guys. Good to catch up on this thread and see good health and interesting facts.

Sun is out...we had more flooding, mostly in downtown Charleston but the road out here was closed briefly during high tide. I'm not a "sky is falling" kind of person. Mother Nature is much greater than we are...this flooding is something new in our short lifetimes out here. My next vehicle will have enough height to get through.

And I'll make sure any house I live in is high enough not to get flooded. To make matters worse, stupid drivers are plowing through the flooded streets producing wake so the water keeps coming in people's homes and businesses.

I saw that Tom Hanks movie "Bridge of Spies." Some liberties were taken with the story but that's to be expected in the name of entertainment. It kept your eyes glued to the screen and there were some Mopars...one blue '56 Chrysler they moved around to be in the background of several scenes.

See you guys. Gonna go play a round of Golf with my 2 Sons. Have a Great Day !!

Hi guys! Fun reading through today's posts. On the phone in the sauna right now so I'll be brief.

At my dads place. Been helping him keep his place from turning into a forest. He's 72 and recovering from myasthenia gravis (?) which has made him see double, lose the strength and endurance in his muscles and - probably most problematic - made it very difficult for him to chew his food. After talking a lot his speech became slurred before. He's a lot better now. When we were here for Easter h couldn't lift a blanket over his head to hang it to dry. Today he helped me throwing branches on the bonfire for a whole hour. :thumblef:

He's a serial entrepreneur so developing symptoms like these was a bit of a shock to him, I think. Getting old so soon, you know. But that's what's getting him, too. When I call him I have no idea where he'll be; at home, in Greece or in Japan. Or maybe attending a hydrogen conference in Montreal...

Anyway, I'm exhausted and well deserving a beer in the sauna. Or two. :D

edit: so much or being brief ...

17:45 in South Africa...some of you only waking up now.:wack:

Ters.

I am finding the best time to work on my car is during the night when everyone else and all distractions are sleeping LOL.

Being up all night takes a toll after awhile :coffee2:

I do the same, out in the garage, wife and grandkid sleeping, turn on some music, make a pot of coffee and go to work! But yeah, you'll have a "crash" day after a few nights

Top of the morning to you all!:D

Finally Friday!!...picking up new rear brake cylinders for the Charger/Demon today. Refurbished my old ones, never saw the feed line threads are cross threaded....:banghead: The joy of old car ownership...

Later.

Morning folks!

Will go out and scrape up whatever wasn't consumed in yesterday's bonfires and start them up again. Perfect conditions. No wind and moist surroundings.

Then we'll be heading back home again. A little curious to try my dad's old capacitive high voltage ignition system he developed in the early 70:ies. :)
